About Pain is a grunge band from nowhere. The band took its roots in the head of its broken larynx chantarist, Dean Everett. Life was so boring and music on the radio such a pain that he decided to become a rock star. He started to write songs about sad and serious things, learn to play some Steve Vai licks and then was ready to change the world. His band will be called About Pain, because this name remains what the real rock music is. But things weren't so easy, and he needed some support. He met David Marion, an incredible bassist with a great state of mind. Immediately, he knew that this guy will give a louder side to his songs. Quickly, Marion became a great friend of Everett and together they started to plan the future of the band. They recorded a demo with a little digital recorder. Three drummers were lost in the story and none was powerful enough. Now they're looking for a way to diffuse the music in a larger scale, looking for a label or something.

About Pain est un groupe de grunge venu de nulle part. Tout a commencé dans la tête de Dean Everett, chanteur/guitariste et songwriter à l'origine du groupe, en 2002. Quand ses ambitions ont voulu dépasser les murs de sa chambre, il se mit en quête de musiciens. Il rencontra David Marion, bassiste de son état, fan de Nirvana et de la scène de Seattle. Les deux s'entendirent immédiatement et About Pain commença sa transformation. Les batteurs s'enchainèrent mais aucun n'eut l'ambition et la puissance de feu nécessaires aux désirs des deux musiciens.

En 2008, About Pain enregistre sa démo Splendora, et se met enfin en quête d'un label, d'une maison de disque et d'un producteur pour tenter le sauvetage d'une scène musicale de plus en plus sclérosée. Enfin on va essayer hein!
