After years of raging puberty accompanied by extremely loud music Muf, Nix, Fallus and Inkie decided to approach music in a little less disturbing way. Piano and viola da gamba replaced distorted guitars and since they had no drummer yet, the music softened a bit. Pourquoi me reveiller (translation: “why awaken”) is the name of this new project, a Dutch band from Rotterdam, formed in 1998. Since early 2005 Henno joins the band as drummer. The music of Pourquoi me reveiller can be described as guitar rock/pop with experimental elements included as well. The songs vary from melancholy to catchy up-tempo and sometimes it even flirts with dreamy theatre music.
